Convert Your Desktop To A Wi-Fi Hotspot

Posted: 07 Jun 2010 07:11 AM PDT

Last time I wrote a tutorial about sharing internet connection between two computers using Bluetooth. Now this time I am up with another method to share internet connection between desktop and lots of notebooks. In other words, in this tutorial you’ll learn how to setup your desktop’s internet connection as Wi-Fi hotpots. But before that make sure that your desktop has a wireless adapter and your desktop has high speed internet connection.

If I taught you to setup Wi-Fi hotspots manually than it will be a long tutorial with lots of messed up steps which you might not welcome to. Moreover you may get stuck on the way.

I found a freeware called Connectify which can easily turn your Windows 7 Desktop into wireless router just by a single click without the need of any wireless router.

To obtain a download link for Connectify, you’ll have to fill up this form in their official website. The download link will be sent to your email address.

Or, you can download it directly from Download.com . Download and install Connectify.

Select the Internet connection you wish to share.

Choose a name for your new wireless network name it to anything you want. Choose a password to authorize access after inputting password from other computer.

Press the Hotspot On button to turn on your wireless network.

Now, from your other Wi-Fi enabled devices, you can see your wireless network. Choose to join it, and enter the wireless password to connect.

Please note that this beta program only runs in Windows 7 and it doesn’t run in lower version of windows, not even Windows Vista.

Hope this tutorial was useful

Executing Java applications in Palm OS devices

Posted: 06 Jun 2010 08:20 AM PDT

PalmOne is one of the leading Smartphone company. But most of them doesn’t supports Java Programs to be executed. While from DVD players to Linux system supports Java interface. You may have great desire to run some specific java programs in your Palm OS device. Well, this news is very old but very useful for those who wants Java emulator for their Palm OS.

Java Virtual Machine Micro Environment by IBM WebSphere allows your Palm OS to run Java applications easily. Since, Palm OS is not an ordinary OS, its smarter than any other Cell Phone OS.

This tool actually allows you to convert Jar/Jad files to prc format, so that you can easily use Java based applications in your Palm device.

What can I do from this tool? I can run Opera Mini, Morange, Ebuddy, Games, and many more.

Before January 12, 2008 Palm used to distribute this JVM with License. But Palm no longer has rights to distribute the IBM WebSphere Micro Environment Java Virtual Machine (JVM) to their customers. Therefore it is nearly impossible to find this application over the internet. We are providing this download here for your convenience as we’ve downloaded it years ago and had a backup of it.

Here is a special link to download IBM WebSphere Micro Environment Java Virtual Machine 5.7.2.

To unzip this file you’ll need 7zip

Hope this information was useful.

Create Your Own Beautiful Website Using Adobe Illustrator

Posted: 03 Jun 2010 09:13 AM PDT

Illustrator is the hero for graphics artist. From beginner level work to higher level work, illustrator illustration has been so much important and helpful. This time, I am helping you to create your own website with your own creative design ideas.

Creating website in illustrator does not need complex HTML or PHP scripting. It is just the design presented in HTML format.

I am going to use Adobe illustrator CS3 to create a simple website. The final format of the website will be like below:

First of all let me tell you that I am only going to use rectangle tool and text tool to create the basic page layout.

Open Adobe Illustrator and create a new document with 960 px by 1500 px .

Now inside the art board (Black border), draw your layout.

The image above demonstrates the layout of the website. The header at the top, the navigator bar with three navigation links and one content container and another right sidebar, and footer optional.

To draw the layout use rectangle tool and position it according to your layout requirement.

When all of the layout is properly made then select all the rectangles, right click in it and choose “Make Guides”

The guides will be created in Layer 1, see at layer palette(F7).

Double click on it and rename it as Layout and click OK.

Now lock the Layout layer and create a new layer above it.

This will be the layer to draw the design outlet of your blog. While drawing your design be inside the layout markings.

After you are done with the basic background and links designing, we’re heading towards making contents in it.

Upto now you must have made Logo for your site, links for your site and the background image/color for the contents of your site.

Double click and rename this layer again.

Again add new layer. Rename it to Home. In this layer you are going to add all the contents that your home page will contain.

Add contents like welcome notes, images and other things.

Lock the Home layer and again create another two layers and contents for About and Contact Page.

Up to now you might have created your whole webpage with Home, About and Contact Page each of them in separate layer.

Sidenote: Play with visibility of layers for easiness in your designing work.

Now make all layers visible by clicking on visibility(eye) icon. But hide two Layers, i.e. About and Contact Layer.

Now time to slice up the images. Go to Object>Slice>Create from Guides.

Now you may have problem if you’ve designed your page outside the layout. If you haven’t then it’s OK, else you’ll have to redesign it for proper slicing.

After you get success in slicking you may head up to link building and export it in html format.

Go to File> Save for Web & Devices.

New window will popup with your whole website view.

You have to create three links for Home, About and Contact.

Double click in the Home link.

In URL type home.html (the homepage URL)

Do the same for About and contact page with URL address about.html and contact.html respectively.

We’re predicting that we’ll have three html files, home.html, about.html and contact.html in same folder.

Since you’ve the Home page contents visible, click Save button at the top right and save it as home.html.

You’ve home.html page ready.

Now in second step, hide Home and Contact layers and follow the same method for navigation links as above.

But save it as about.html

Again hide Home and About layers. Do the same for navigation links. Save it as contact.html
Make sure that you have all three html files in one folder with images folder in it. Also whenever a popup comes up to replace images(for example slicer.gif) click on Replace button.

Now open home.html in your web browser. Click on the links to check if it’s OK.

If everything is ok then you can upload it to your web host and next enjoy the your own cool homepage.

How To Setup Direct LAN Connection Using Bluetooth

Posted: 30 May 2010 04:19 AM PDT

You may come in the situation when you’ve two computer but no WiFi adapters in it. In such condition you can try cheap method to share files between two computers using Bluetooth. In this tutorial I am going to teach you how to achieve such heights.

To allow file and printer sharing, name each computer with a unique name but give both computers the same workgroup name. You can do this from the System Properties window. To open System Properties, go to My computer, right click on any blank area and choose properties. Or simply you can right click on my computer icon and choose properties.

In Computer Name tab click Change to input your computer name and workgroup name. You will be asked to restart your computer after the computer name and workgroup change.

The computer name defined in this step becomes the Bluetooth device name for this computer that will be displayed on another computer this computer is discovered.

Now plug in Bluetooth adapters to both of your computer. Make sure that Bluetooth device is properly installed on both of your PC’s properly by going to device manager.

Verify that the Bluetooth adapter is identified as a Bluetooth Network Connection under Personal Area Network with Microsoft’s Bluetooth stack driver while on the second computer with third-party Bluetooth stack driver; it is identified as a Local Area Connection under LAN or High-Speed Internet.

Make the second Bluetooth-enabled computer discoverable by going to Bluetooth settings and configure its “service properties” to include PAN Networking service.

In the first computer, right click on Bluetooth taskbar icon and select “Join a Personal Area Network” to open Bluetooth Personal Area Network window.

You can also do this by going to Network Connections and right-clicking the icon and select “View Bluetooth Network Devices” or clicking View Bluetooth Network Devices link on the left sidebar.

On the Bluetooth Personal Area Network window, click “Add” to open the “Add Bluetooth Device Wizard” if the second computer hasn’t been connected before.

Now we’re done with setting up the basic things. Now we’ll have to pair the devices.

On the Add Bluetooth Device Wizard, tick “My device is set up and ready to be found”. Click Next.

Wizard will search for Bluetooth devices in range.

Select the second computer and click next.

You will be asked to input a passkey or PIN code before starting a connection to the second computer. You can create your own passkey or let Windows create a random passkey for you. Click Next.

On the second computer, you will be prompted to input a passkey. Type the same passkey as the one created on the first computer and cick OK.

If the everything went well, you’ll be welcomed to next page with Finish button enabled. Click Finish. You will be back to the Bluetooth Personal Area Network window. Now the second computer is listed under Direct Connections. Select it and click Connect to start a Personal Area Network connection.

Now, both computers have been directly connected in a Personal Area Network. First computer with Microsoft stack is the Client while the second one with Thirdparty stack is the host.

Now you can share files same like in LAN but with slower bandwidth

Hope this tutorial was helpful.

If you ever downloaded winrar / winzip file on the computer, then you know that there’s an enormous chance that winrar or winzip file is protected with password. Also there’s an enormous chance that you’ll never find that password. In situation like this only solution is to crack winrar password.

In this post I’ll show you how to do it with Zip password Recovery Magic v6.1.1.169 .

1) Download Zip password Recovery Magic v6.1.1.169 from this link and install it

2) Launch Zip password Recovery Magic v6.1.1.169 and open winrar / winzip file that you want to crack

3)Choose attack method , there are 3 options : BruteForce , dictionary, booost – up.
Brute force actually means to start with a letter a and encrypting it. Then see if the encrypted strings match. If not then b, c, … until we’ve gotten . Then the encrypted strings will match and we’ll know that is the right password.Brute force attack is the slowest method of cracking, but there is no risk that you’ll not find the password. The thing about brute force is that the time of cracking rises rapidly depending on how long the password is, how many characters are being used in it and so forth.
A dictionary attack is a method of breaking into a password-protected computer or server by systematically entering every word in a dictionary as a password.

4) Click on Start , and wait, password will be cracked
