How To Disable CD Burning In Windows

Ever wanted to bug up your friend? Well, we have some method to share with you. Disable your friend’s CD by playing some registery tweak. This tweak is reversible and easy to do. This trick will disable your friend from burning CDs. This restriction actually will disable the use of the inbuilt CD recording functions of Windows.

To disable Windows Inbuilt CD burning follow the steps:

1)Open your registry and follow this path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER>Software>Microsoft>Windows>Current Version>Policies>Explorer.

2)Right Click on the blank area right side of the registry editor and choose key.

3) Name the key to NoCDBurning. Double click on the “Default” key in the right side of the regedit window and put the value to “1”.


4)Close you registry and restart the system for the change to take the effect.
